About
Leading For Children
Leading for Children is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening the ecosystems that support young children by centering adult well-being, connection, and shared leadership. We believe children thrive when the adults in their lives are supported to lead together with humanity.
Our Purpose
Our Vision
All children, birth to five, grow and learn in thriving and collaborative communities of empowered and nurturing adults.
Our Mission
We strengthen communities by advancing humanity-centered approaches that support adults in collaborating equitably on behalf of children.
The Story
Behind the Work
Leading for Children was founded by Judy Jablon with a focus on adult well-being, grounded in the understanding that when the adults in a child’s world are connected and thriving together, children have greater opportunities to grow and thrive.
At the core of Leading for Children is the belief that equity grows from embracing our shared humanity—and that when adults work together with dignity, connection, and purpose, children thrive.
Nichole Parks
I joined LFC in 2019 because I know firsthand the impact caring adults can have on a child’s life. As a child, supportive people in my community saw me, encouraged me, and worked together on my behalf, helping shape the resilient adult I am today. As an early childhood professional, I’ve seen how stress and inequities affect children, families, and educators. LFCs programs help build meaningful connections and collaborative support systems where all children can thrive.
